Law enforcement hero. Detective Sergeant with City of Warren Police Department. Police veteran for 19 years (badge #591.) Twelve year student of St. Clement School in Center Line. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Wayne State University. While at college, he became an All-American second baseman and was most valuable player of the GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.) In 1999, he was inducted into the Wayne State Athletic Hall of Fame. Respected in the community, he also had the highest regard for his family. Tragically, he was fatally shot in the line of duty while trying to disarm a suspected drug dealer who sneaked a handgun into the Warren Police detention area. His actions that day may have saved other lives. Chris left behind his wife, son, 2 daughters, parents, brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews.
