Private graveside services will be at Willamette National Cemetery for Donald J. Yates a Gresham insurance broker who died Friday of a respiratory illness. He was 61.A memorial service will be at 7:39 p.m. Wednesday in the Gresham Elk Lodge. A lifetime resident of the Portland area, Mr. Yates was a graduate of Jefferson High School and was a founding member of Gateway Boosters Association. He was a member of the Rockwood Merchants Association, Gresham Elks Lodge and Masonic Lodge. He was a Marine Corp veteran of World War II.Surviving are his wife, Harriette; a daughter, Deborah Yates of Portland; and a son, Ben of Portland.The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Oregon Lung Association.
