She remarried John Leroy Newton 17 Aug 1898 in Harrison Co. They had a son named William. Mary Ann died in Marshall, Texas.
Mrs. Mary Ann Newton died at the home of her son, William Newton...Monday night after a long illness.
She is survived by six sons, Robert Bridger of Center; Albert Bridger of Longview; John and George Bridger of Marshall; Charles Loggins and William Newton of Marshall; two daughters, Mrs. H.L. Thompson of Marshall, and Mrs. Joe Adams of Darco, 43 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren also survive her.
