Grace Duggins, 93, a longtime resident of Socorro, NM, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her home. She was born October 10, 1912 in Abilene, TX to George and Rose Cox. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elijah Wrea Duggins; two sons, Lindell and Glenn Duggins. She is survived by her sons: George Duggins, Benjamin Duggins and wife, Carolyn; daughter, Donalita Maloney; sister, Ethel Marden; grandchildren, Mark and Geln Duggins, David and Lisa Maloney; great-grandson, Kyle Duggins; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Grace was a superb cook and worked as a Baker in the public school system and later at New Mexico Tech. She was a lady who cared deeply about her family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Socorro. Her like will not be seen again. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Socorro with Rev. Bob Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Socorro Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
