Lucio Aranzamendi
Lucio Aranzamendi, 73, of Homedale, died Saturday, February 27, 1999, at a Caldwell hospital. Vigil Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Private family burial will be held on Thursday, at the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery.
Lucio was born March 2, 1925, in Spain. As a young man in Spain he served in the Armed Forces, assigned to working on telephone lines. Lucio came to the United States in 1951. He got a job herding sheep and on February 20, 1959, he married Sharon Bugher in Winnemucca, NV. Lucio started farming in 1956 and remained involved in farming until his death. He also loved to fish and make his daily trip into Homedale for coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Kelly Burdine, both of Homedale; a son, Mark of Marsing; and three grandchildren, Bailey, Misty and Cris.
