Death of Rev. W.A. Keith

Another original Greeley colonist passed away last week in Denver in the person of Rev. W.A. Keith, who was buried there on Sunday last. Mr. Keith came to Greeley with his family in 1871 and soon after opened up a farm under canal No. 2, in the vicinity of Lucerne. some years later he moved to Denver where he resided at the time of his death. Mr. Keith was born in Eastport, Maine, in 1810, and was therefore 85 years of age at the time of his death. Before coming to Greeley he had for many years been active in the ministry of the Congregational church, of which he was a life long member, but never actively participated in the duties of his calling after coming to Colorado.
