Marleta (Tucker) Kinney, 79, Billings, Mo., departed this life Aug. 17, 2003, at Christian Health Care Center, Republic. The daughter of Harry and Verna Freelove, she was born April 5, 1924 in Bradford, Pa. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Barefoot" Kinney, whom she married Dec. 17, 1945. Marleta is also survived by one son and his wife, Brad and Sandy Kinney of Republic, Mo.; three daughters, Karen Cole and husband David of Salem, Va., Karel Whyte of Aiken, S.C., and Kris Beemiller and husband Ron of Benton, Kan.; one brother, Don Freelove of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery at a later date.
