Loving grandfather "Opa" of Alyssa, Jeremiah, Tyler, Heather, and Ashley. Devoted brother of Emmett (Betty) Meyer, the late Clarence (Viola) Meyer, Geneva (late Andy) Van Kampen, and Carol (Robert) Bruinius. Fond uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation Tuesday, February 21, 2006 from 2:00-8:00 PM at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 W 162nd St (Rt. 6/159th St.), South Holland, IL. Funeral service Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Peace Christian Reformed Church, 833 W. 168th St., South Holland, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Heino Blaauw. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
Mr. Meyer was a retired butcher for Simko Provision Co. and Walts' Food Centers. He also served as a custodian for Illiana Christian High School in Lansing, IL. Hank was a longtime little league coach, umpire, and fan (Go Cubs). Memorials may be given to Calvin Christian School, Illiana Christian High School, or Kalamazoo Christian Schools.
