Major League Baseball Player. He immigrated to the United States sometime prior to 1880, began a baseball career, making his debut as a catcher with the Boston Red Caps on May 18, 1881. For eight seasons, he played with the Boston Red Caps (1881-82), St. Louis Browns (1883-84), New York Giants (1885-87) and Washington Statesmen in 1888. He concluded his career with a record of 358 hits, 161 runs scored, 120 runs batted in, a .244 batting average and a .922 fielding percentage. His brother John Deasley was also a Major League Baseball Player.
