She was born July 6, 1931, in Bad-Schwalback, Germany.
Annie Adams was formerly employed as a custodian at West Caldwell School District, where she received many awards for her dedicated service. She also spent many hours of service with the Lenoir Soup kitchen.
She is survived by her three children, Rosemarie Bates (Adams), Elizabeth Robison (Adams) and Brian Adams; two brothers, Volker and Ernst Eschenauer, and one sister, Else Galwas, of Germany; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held Aug. 1, 2014, at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, Lenoir, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Special Olympics of North Carolina.
