Harriet (Buchanan) Adams was a daughter of Andrew Buchanan and Rhoda (Stevenson) Buchanan. She married Elijah Adams, son of Samuel and Sarah [-?-] Adams on 6 September 1838 in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. Elijah and Harriet moved west with their children, living in Henry County, Illinois and Labette County, Kansas (where Elijah died in 1877). Harriet presumably moved to Iowa with several of her children before her death in 1890.
