He was born on a farm near Wabaso, Minn., on Aug. 30, 1889 to Valentine and Emma (Schwede) Bott. When he was 2 years old, he moved with his parents to rural Donnybrook, ND to a homestead there, where he later farmed for a few years. He received his high school education and ministry, at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He met and married Lethea Coyle there, they both graduated there. They were married July 7, 1929, in Chicago. The Rev. Bolt served many parishes in Montana and also in Beach, ND retiring to Laurel, Montana in 1966.
Survivors include two sons; David Bott of Laurel, MT and Archie Bott of Columbus, MT; one daughter, Mrs. (Lois) Fink of Columbus, MT; two brothers, Roy Bott of Donnybrook and Abner Bott of Pocatello, ID. two sisters, Mabel (Bott) Moseng of Velva, ND and Florence (Bott) Haidle of Fallon, MT. Sister-in-law, Edna Bott of Donnybrook, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Bott was preceded in death by his wife Lethea and two brothers Valentine and Arthur.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 29 at the Evangelical Church in Columbus, MT.
Interment at Mountainview Cemetery, Columbus. MT.
