Clarence A. Huddleston, son of the late Rufus Huddleston and Kathryn Dotson Huddleston, was born Jan 21, 1891 in Oregon Co., MO, and departed this life Nov 5, 1980 at Chastains of Thayer, MO, at the age of 89 years.
He was united in marriage Aug 12, 1914 at Alton, MO to Hettie James.
He is survived by his wife, Hettie Huddleston of Chastains of Thayer, MO; one daughter Beulah Chronister of Alton, MO; one son, Bob Huddleston of Gladstone, OR; two brothers, Jim Huddleston of Farmington, MO; and Lawrence Huddleston of the state of Florida; four sisters, Mittie Grissom, Lissie McRoberts, Hulda Carter, and Laura Abanathy, all of Pocahontas, AR; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
His parents, one infant daughter, one son, Leonard, three brothers, and one sister preceded him in death.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a former railroad employee of the Illinois Central Railroad, and a farmer of Oregon County.
Funeral services were held Sat, Nov. 8 at the Carter Chapel with Rev. Lester Wiggs officiating. Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
