Mrs. Jeanette Abele Dies at Age of 81
Mrs. Jeanette Abele, 81, Milwaukee, a former Boscobel resident, died Sunday, July 20, at Elmbrook Hospital in Waukesha county. The daughter of Charles and Elizabeth McMillan, she was born in Boscobel Dec. 8, 1893.
She was married to William R. Abele, of Watertown, and spent most of her married life in Milwaukee. A daughter, Jeanne, was born to them. Mr. Abele died Jan. 13, 1941. She had been employed as a receptionist-bookkeeper by John Plotz, photographer, Milwaukee, and in the fur department of T. A. Chapman Co., Milwaukee, before her retirement in 1965. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne (Mrs. Richard Stamm), Brookfield; three grandchildren, Michael Stamm, Dr. John R. Stamm, and Elizabeth Radcliffe Stamm; and one great-grandchild, Sara Jeannette Stamm. She is also survived by two sisters, Bea and Maybelle McMillan, of
Boscobel. Her parents, four brothers and three sisters, preceded her in
death.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Thoni and Kendall Funeral Home, with Rev. Myrtle I. Baker officiating. Burial was made in the Boscobel cemetery. Casketbearers were Bill Parrish, Harris McMillan, Fred
Ostrander and Harold Shipley.
