Anna Mae Mounts, 76, died at 9:55 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2002, at Wyoming County Continuous Care Center following a long illness.

Born June 8, 1925, in Maben, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie Johnson McGhee. Mrs. Mounts was a homemaker and a member of Mountaineer Baptist Church at Barker's Ridge. She had made her home in Rhodell the greater part of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Mounts; a brother, Franklin McGhee; a sister, Lucille Walker; and a brother-in-law, Paul Gillespie.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Mounts of Mount Hope, Sharon Mounts of Beckley and Virginia Mounts of Beckley; two brothers, William Robert McGhee and his wife, Mary, of Josephine and Julius Samuel McGhee and his wife, Gladys, of Swepsonville, N.C.; four sisters, Elizabeth Gillespie of Tazewell, Va., Mable Sewell Harvey and her husband, Eugene, of Cool Ridge, Betty Parker of Ronceverte and Gladys Blevins and her husband, Jim, of Beaver; five grandchildren, including Marie Shrewsbury and her husband, Skip, of Barker's Ridge, with whom she made her home; and five great-grandchildren.

Service will be 3 p.m. Monday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Bill Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Agee Cemetery, Egeria. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring
