WINTERS -- Jeff "Bucky" Buxkemper, age 48, of Voss, Formerly of Winters, died Friday, February 3, 2006 in a Coleman hospital. He was born on October 31, 1957 in Winters and grew up here. He married Leah Pendergrass on June 2, 1984 in Winters. He was an oil field pumper. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing poker. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife: Leah Buxkemper of Voss; one daughter, Randi Larissa Buxkemper of Stephenville; parents, Sue and James Spill of Winters; grandfather, Doyle Pumphrey of Winters; two brothers, Rodney Buxkemper of Norton and Steven Spill of Canon City, Colorado; two sisters, Suzanne Spill of Winters and Lucy Glenn of Austin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2006 in the First Baptist Church in Winters with the Reverend Barry Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Pumphrey Cemetery directed by Winters Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 6 p.m., on Sunday.
