Cora married Albert Asberry Calhoun in 1894. They had 11 children together. Cora & Albert moved to California in 1911, and returned to Wisconsin in 1917.

According to Josie Churchill, they owned a small restaurant in La Farge, and they lived in the rooms above it. "Out back they had a barn for their team and two cows. These cows, along with a couple dozen hens, supplied their restaurant with milk, ice cream, butter and eggs." (Dirt Roads, pg. 63)
