In the days before radio and television, Aunt Anna always entertained children by reading to them for hours. Sick children confined to bed by measles, mumps, chicken pox or some other malady could rely on Aunt Anna's arrival to make confinement more pleasant. She created a different voice for each character in the story and made them "come alive." this talent made her popular with all children in the community and created a treasured memory for them.
