She retired in 1992 after 20 years as a school nurse and biology teacher at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy. She was active in town affairs servings on the Budget Committee in Northwood for several years, she volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives for many years.
An avid golfer, she was a member of Nippo Lake Golf Course in Strafford and Crystal Lake Club in Avon Park, where she won many laurels in ladies competitions.
Barbara was deeply loved and will be missed by her husband of 55 years. She is survived by five children; 14 grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
Barbara was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Northwood.
