LESLIE HAROLD ROSS was the son of Malcolm Ross and Mrs. Tempie Ilia (Rogers) Ross.

He was the husband of Mrs. Mildred Rae (Coleman Cook) Ross whom he wed on July 31, 1965 in Harrison County, Texas.

Obituary
"Funeral services for Leslie Harold Ross, of 1907 Sledge Street, Marshall, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Summit United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Colonial Gardens Cemetery with arrangements by The Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers were Pete Payne, Burl Doss, Robert Wood, E.C. Jones, James Van Norden and M.O. LaGrone. Alternates were George Lake and Felton Eldridge. Honorary pallbearers were M.B. Cole, Rex Payne, members of the Summit United Methodist Church choir and Friendship Sunday School.

Mr. Ross died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 1986 in Marshall Memorial Hospital, after an illness of several months. He was born September 25, 1916, in Harrison County, the son of Malcolm Ross and Mrs. Tempie Ilia (Rogers) Ross. He attended Marshall public schools. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Ross was employed by Texas Rubber Company, of Dallas, in industrial sales from 1963-1981. He had previously worked for Ralph Pugh Rubber Company, of San Francisco, California, as a salesman and at Eureka Funeral supplies in the sales division. He married Mildred Coleman Ross on July 31, 1965 in Marshall. R. Ross was a member of Summit United Methodist Church, the church choir and Friendship Sunday School Class. He was a former chairman of the board at Summit. He was a charter member of East Texas Plant Engineers and a member of the San Francisco Elks Lodge No. 3.

Survivors include his wife, of Marshall; one daughter, Mrs. Wesley G. (Nancy Cook) Ellis, of Marshall; three grandchildren, Mrs. Robbie (Eve Ellis) Minatrea, Galen Ellis and Ann Ellis, all of Marshall; one great-grandchild, Lacy Minatrea, of Marshall; one brother, Fred Lee Ross, of Novato, California; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alton (June) Ross, of Gilmer, and Mrs. Hubert (Roberta) Ross, of Big Springs; and one aunt."
