Clifford Manning, 79, of Eatonville, who died Friday in an automobile accident, was born in Campbell, Neb., and lived in the Eatonville area most of his life.

Mr. Campbell was a shingle sawyer in the Hoquiam area and was a member of the Salvation Army and Shingle Weavers Union Local 275 in Kalama.

Survivors include his wife, Launa King Manning; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Games, of Eatonville; one brother, Ernest, of Baker, Ore.; and two grandsons, Manning and Frank Games, also of Eatonville.
