DEATH OF MRS. LANE
Mrs. Hattie L. Lane, wife of A. L. Lane, 314 North Broad Street, Mankato, passed away at her home at 6 p.m., Thursday evening, February 22. Mrs. Lane was fifty-five years of age and died from complications from which she was a patient sufferer for several months past.
She was married to A, L, Lane at Princeton, Ill., September 25, 1889, and moved t0 Smiths Mill, where she resided until about seven years ago, when the family moved to this city.
Mrs. Lane was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge, Woman's Relief Corps, and woman's auxiliary of the American Legion. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and five children, Mrs. L. O. Wells, Eagle Lake, Mrs. W. P. Jones, Rush City; Harold Lane, Louisville, Ky.; and Miss Luella and Charles Lake of this city, and two grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home in Mankato at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and from the Methodist Episcopal church, of Mankato at 2 p.m. The remains were laid to rest in Tivoli cemetery.
Mrs. Lane was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps in Janesville and also was associated socially with our people, all of whom esteemed her highly and learn of her passing with sincere sorrow and regret. The husband and children have the sincere sympathy of many friends here.
