Mrs. Noah E. Thorn died at her home in Eagle Grove early Saturday morning after an illness of several months.

Obituary

Lottie Bell Orr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Orr, was born Oct. 10, 1883, in Troy township, Wright county, and died Saturday morning, Feb. 5, 1938, at the age of 54 years, three months, and two days.

She grew to young womanhood on the home farm, and they moved to a farm at the south edge of Eagle Grove. She was united in marriage to Noah E. Thorn on Sept. 28, 1904 and they began housekeeping in Eagle Grove. She has lived in the present home 34 years.

Four children were born to this union: John, Roy, Emma, and one daughter, Mrs. Ione Lillibridge, who died in 1927. Mrs. Lillibridge's daughter, Darliene, was then given a home in the Thorn household.

As a young woman Mrs. Thorn united with the United Christian church and later with the Methodist Episcopal church of which she was a member.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, two grandchildren, all of Eagle Grove and eight brothers and one sister, Fred, Jess, Charles Orr, all of Eagle Grove; Thomas Orr, Burton Orr of Truman, Minn.; Frank Orr of Midland, S.D.; S. D. Lewis Orr of East Orange, N.J.; Henry Orr of Fort Dodge; and Mrs. C. O. Nichols of Oakland, Calif.; and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Congregational church in charge of the Rev. Tumbleson, pastor of the First M. E. church. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
