Spouse : Grace Alberta Stackhouse (1896–1992) Married 1920
Child: Milton Francisco "Archie" (1921–2008)
Spouse : Lillian M. (Biven-Blough-Watson) Walther (1903–1975) Married 1929
Spouse : Hazel Mae (Blough-Roman-Jenni) Massie (1915–1988) Married 1932
Children:
Ellen Louise "Ellie" (Agee-Carpenter-Drouhard) (1934–2014)
Robert Eugene "Bob" (1936–)
Ida Mae (Weist) (1938–2013)
David Ellsworth (1940–)

Following his divorce from Grace, Tingley's parents raised his son, Milton "Archie"; as seen on the 1930 and 1940 Census records. Also, following a house fire in 1940, Tingley and third wife, Hazel, permanently placed their four young children in the Wooster, Wayne County Children's Home. Ida and Bob were adopted by the Lacey family, while Ellie and David remained there until reaching adulthood.

Granddaughter, Ellen "Lenni" Howell remembered attending Tingley's funeral as a child and believed his death was caused by tuberculosis / consumption. He had been exposed to gasses during his WWI service and remained sickly the rest of his life.
