LaTasha N. Green, 31, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on June 8, 2014.

Miss Green was born November 12, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri to Mr. & Mrs. Green

Miss Green attended elementary and secondary school in the North Kansas City School District, graduating from Winnetonka High School in 2000. She furthered her education at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) and Asbury University in Wilmore, KY where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She also attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN where she received her Masters of Higher Education and Missouri State University in Springfield, MO where she received her secondary Master of Science in School Counseling.

Miss. Green was baptized at an early age was a lifelong member of Park Avenue Baptist Church, Kansas City, MO. She served in several capacities of the church during her membership.

Miss Green was an advocate for the Lord in every way. On August 11, 2012, LaTasha gave birth to a baby boy the most precious joy and love of her life.

Miss Green worked as a Resident Director at Fisk University in Nashville, TN, Ball State University in Muncie, IN, and Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She was most recently employed as an Assistant Director for Academic Support Services at Park University in Parkville, MO. On April 12, 2014 she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., Kansas City, MO alumnae chapter.

Miss. Green is preceded in passing by paternal grandparents, P.L. and Verlena Green and three uncles, James Parks, Eddie Green and David Green


Miss. Green leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved son, of the home; her parents of the home, Kansas City, MO; five brothers, one sister a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, great uncles, great aunts, cousins and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
