Rosalie L. (Maples) Zook, 71, of Poplar Bluff died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Zook was born June 6, 1940 in St. Louis, Mo. She was of the Lutheran faith, and had retired as a waitress. Mrs. Zook enjoyed laughing, fishing, spending time with her family and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves play baseball.
Survivors include her children, James E. "Red" (Cathy) Maples, Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; Larry Maples of Poplar Bluff; Leslie (Jackie) Maples of Richmond, Tex.; Tina Maples (Ron) Sears of Burleson, Tex.; and Chalisa Zook (Chris) Bracken of Lake Ellsinore, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Justin, Jacob, Larry Jr., Candace, Ashley, Amber, Leslie Jr., Jenny, Blake, Brittany, Shawnda and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Elijah, Ethan, Titus, Paisley, Penelope, Madalynn, Ava, Evelyn, Abigail and John; and sisters, Joyce Beck and Joan Lindy both of St. Louis, Mo.
Her parents, Leslie and Rosella Bowers Eggers and sister, Judy Priest preceded Mrs. Zook in death.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel with Bro. Jack Woodfin officiating. A graveside committal service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Valhalla Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
