She was born to the late Foster and Maggie Valentine. On Nov. 11, 1954, she married Louis F. Gonce, in Clovis, N.M. Lucille was a seamstress and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 7, 2004; and sisters, Ruby, Joyce, and Dorothy.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Nottingham, of Waco, Sheila Morgan, of Gatesville, Charla Dvorak, of West, Sharon Bomar, of Gatesville, and Cammie Moody, of Texarkana, Ark; sons, SSG Charles Gonce, of Ft. Hood, Stephen Gonce, of Valley Mills; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Carolyn Prather, of Crowley, La.; brother, Jimmy Jernigan, of Taylorsville, Miss; other relatives and many friends.
