Richard Waring Rockwell, of Cortlandt Manor, NY died on April 18, 2006 at Cortlandt Manor Nursing Home. He was 85 years old. Mr. Rockwell was an Illustrator. He was a member of the National Cartoonist Society, and the Society of Illustrators. Mr. Rockwell was born on December 11, 1920 in Mamaroneck, NY to Jarvis and Caroline (Cushman) Rockwell. Mr. Rockwell proudly served his country with the US Air Force, during WWII. He is survived by his devoted wife Beatrice, his six loving children, Jane, Nicholas, Andrew, Jessica, Rachel, and Amy; his eight wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his brother John. Visitation will begin on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc. A Service will be held at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
