Carl was my Great Uncle and I considered him the most caring and humble great uncle from my mother's side of the family. He was always there to lend an open hand when in need and showed unconditional love to all members of our family. He had a great sense of humor and I will never forget his "old time funny aahhyooga automobile horn that was dated back from the teens and 1920's when he would honk outside our house after coming over to visit. It was hilarious...........He is sorely missed but I believe he is up there in heaven with my father Roger Beatty, on the bowling lanes, for, just like my father, he too passed away on the bowling lanes at San Mateo Bowl exactly two months later after my father passed away on the blowling lanes in August of 1979.......It was like my father was calling him up to join him in a game in heaven. Carl used to say that "he always would look over to look for my dad on the lanes, but he wasn't there" for I knew he missed my father very much in the two months he lived after my father's passing,. They were the best of friends and hung out with each other and were buddies to the end. I miss you Carl too, and may God bless you and my father. May you forever rest in peace my dear Uncle Carl.
