Sarah was the daughter of Abraham Haptonstall, a Revolutionary War Soldier, and his wife Rachel Price. She lived in Greenbrier Co. WV where she married Jeremiah Maston Parkins in 1811, moved c. 1818 to Gallia Co. OH and c. 1842 the family including her father, moved to Knox Co.
