Mrs Elizabeth Ann deFreese, 49, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday last week at her farm home near Benson.

The body was taken to the Tallyn-Folkers memorial home in Minonk and returned to the deFreese home, where visitation began at 2 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St Peter's Lutheran church west of Benson. The Rev J. H. Prange officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery, with the pallbearers being Lester (Ted) Tjaden, Edward Johnson, Louis Meinhold, Edward Eilts, William Oltman and Robert Harms.

Mrs deFreese was born July 23, 1906 in Linn Township, a daughter of Waite and Ann Hansen Flohr. She was married to Louis deFreese April 7, 1926. She lived all her life in the Benson community.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, a daughter, Mrs Leona Aeschliman, and two grandchildren, all of Benson, and six sisters, Mrs Lena Baumann; Mrs Anna deFreese and Mrs Marie Wehking, all of Benson, Mrs Margaret Ruestman of Minonk and Mrs Edith Obert and Mrs Bertha Kalkwarf, both of Flanagan.

Her father and brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of St Peter's Lutheran church.
