U.S. Veteran Kenneth Ray Bock, 66, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Guthrie, Oklahoma after a battle with a long-term illness. Kenneth served in the United States Army from 1967-1970; he was a Vietnam veteran. He was drafted while attending Okmulgee Tech School.

He first attended Guthrie High School where he met his wife Alma Neuner. They later married in Guthrie on January 2, 1968. She was his absolute love of his life.

They lived in Guthrie and he worked in the oilfield 40 plus years, starting with Toland & Johnston, Crescent Pipe & Supply, and retiring from M&M Supply in 2011. They moved to their home in Angel Fire, NM where they always vacationed. They enjoyed the mountains and nature. They attended First Christian Church in Guthrie (402 E Noble Guthrie, OK 73044) and United Church of Angel Fire (P.O. Box 949 Angel Fire NM 87710). Kenneth liked helping other people, fishing, hunting, and exploring the mountains. He enjoyed meeting new friends while living in Angel Fire. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father- in -law, grandparents, and niece (Jill).

He is survived by his wife Alma of 46 years, one son Jeffrey and wife Patty of Guthrie and two grandchildren, Priscilla Jade and Hamelton Bruce, one brother Randy Bock and wife Karen of Guthrie, sister in law Evelyn Smith of Guthrie, two uncles - Ted Bock of Tulsa and Ronnie Bock and wife Jeannie of Tulsa, nieces Dorothy Crowder (husband Jeff), Sydnye Steen, Julie Norton, Brandy Walters (husband Wally) and Jana Clary (husband Jay) and one nephew Johnny Mefferd (wife Carrie) and numerous cousins.

At the time of his death, they were staying with their sister -in -law and niece at 1606 Canyon Bluff Road while receiving treatment for cancer.

Donations may be made to his churches and Disabled Veterans of America, or the charity of your choice.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at First Christian Church with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be held Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
