James W. Bearup, Retired Boulder Creek Grocer, Dies
James W. Bearup, 85, Boulder Creek grocer for many years before his retirement in 1944, died today at a local hospital following a week's illness. During his several years as a Boulder Creek businessman, Bearup took an active interest in the San Lorenzo valley chamber of commerce. He sold his store six years ago to Al Campagnoni, and with his wife came here to make their home at 124 Market street. Mr. and Mrs. Bearup were members of the local Golden Wedding club. Bearup, a native of Indiana, is survived only by his wife, Alice Bearup. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the Irvin M. Smith chapel, with Rev. C. T. Harwell of Del Rey officiating. Inurnment will be in the I.O.O.F. crematory.
