Ex-Waterloo Ensign Dies in Crash
Ensign William Bagley, formerly of Waterloo, was killed Wednesday in an airplane crash off the coast of California.
Relatives here received word of his death, but no details in addition to the fact that he was killed when his plane crashed.
Ensign Bagley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bagley, formerly of 1001 Hammond Ave., has been stationed at San Diego, Calif., in the Navy.
His parents moved to Whittier, Calif., about a year ago.
Ensign Bagley was born April 20, 1933, in Waterloo. He was a member of Immanuel United Presbyterian Church, was graduated from West High school and attended Tarkio College at Tarkio, Mo.
Survivors include his brother, Robert Bagley, 220 Williston Ave.; uncle, Russell T. Anderson, 1436 Cornwall Ave.; aunt, Mrs. Lucretia Anderson, La Porte Rd., and one sister, Mrs. William Rundle of Whittier.
Funeral services will be Monday at Whittier. Robert Bagley plans to be in Whittier for his brother's services.
