A Poem For Mother
written by Sandra Lee Ayers

Back in the year nineteen hundred and twenty
A girl child was delivered -----by the Easter Bunny!!!!!
April was the month, the day twenty-seven
She looked sweet and innocent, like an angel from heaven
Now here the year is nineteen hundred ninety-eight
The child is a woman of many years -----seventy-eight
She has stories to tell, and wisdom to impart
Her memoir's she will write, They come from the heart
SOMEDAY, they will be read by children and in awe ---
In six generations they'll say -- She was my great, great, great,
GREAT GRANDMAW !!!
