She was born March 1, 1920 in Madison, IN. to Lawrence & Ethel (Davison) Gorrell. Edith was a 1939 graduate of New Salem High School. She married Russell A. Angle on August 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 7, 1974.
Edith had been the oldest living member of the New Salem United Methodist Church. She was a 50+ year member of the Andersonville OES. Edith worked alongside her husband on the farm, sharing in all the daily tasks. She loved to farm, loved her family, enjoyed cooking, baking & working in her flowers.
She is survived by a son, Larry & wife Kathy Angle of Greenfield, a grandson, Justin Russell "J.R." & wife Valerie Angle of West Des Moines, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, Allyson Leigh Angle (8), brothers, Allyn & Gerald and a sister, Dorothy Aldridge.
Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor David R. Stephens presiding. Friends are welcome to visit on Saturday from 11 AM until service time.
Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
There will be an OES service at 12:45 PM before the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Salem United Methodist Church or the Andersonville OES.
