Mario Juliano Albo was born in West Frankfurt, Franklin County, Illinois. He was the son of Secondo Giuliano Albo and Theresa Giuseppa Peona. He served in the U.S. Navy prior to World War II and attained the rank of Carpenter's Mate Third Class. He married Verna Celestina Taramasso in Oakland, California on October 21, 1939. During World War II he was a shipyard worker. After World War II, he worked as a general contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area. He and Verna settled in Orinda, California and had two sons, Michael and Mario. They moved to Lake County after he retired from the building trades, but he found continued employment in Lake County. He was also very active with the volunteer fire department in Cobb, where they lived. After his death, the new fire station in Middletown, California was dedicated in his memory.
