Sidney E. Boyett, 65, of Albany, GA, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

A native of Albany, GA, born to the late Elbert E. and Miriam Boyett, Sidney lived in Albany most of his life. He graduated from Albany High School in 1967 where he played trumpet in the school band and attended Florida State University. He was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.

Sidney had been employed with Albany Lincoln Mercury, Better Brands Distributing and Albany Auto Center. He lived in Palm Beach Gardens, FL from 1990 until 1993 where he was employed with Brown Distributing Company. He loved to play golf, watch it on TV and loved the Atlanta Braves.

He left behind many friends and family that will miss him dearly. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. He touched many people's lives with the huge heart he had.

Survivors include extended family and many friends.
