Leslie was killed in action.

Son of Jack Carl and Bertha Dover, of Ottawa, Ontario.

Note*: When Leslie enlisted in Mar 1942, he indicated on his attestation papers that he was born Jun 1, 1923 in Ottawa, Ontario. However, other records, including the paperwork his father filled out after he died, indicate he was born in Seattle, Washington on Jun 1, 1925. Leslie probably altered his year of birth to appear old enough to enlist, as he would have been only 16 at the time.
