Jana Caranante Davis, 39, of Tampa, FL went to meet our Lord on January 2, 2006. Her spirit was an inspiration for those whom she touched. She attended the Academy of the Holy Names from kindergarten through high school and received her Masters in Education from Mercer University. She was a kindergarten teacher at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Macon, GA until she became a wonderful and dedicated full-time mother. Her all encompassing love for family, friends and life will stay with us forever. Jana accepted every challenge with grace and beauty. Her spirit will continue to be among us in her beautiful and loving daughters who said, "Our mother is like a falling star who has finally found her place next to God, in a beautiful constellation, where her smile will sparkle in heaven." She is survived by her husband John Ray Davis, Jr., daughters Jovanna Caranante Davis and Olivia Walden Davis, parents Dr. Vincent and Jovanna Caranante, brothers Vinny Caranante and wife Joanna, Lance Caranante and wife Susan, Keith Caranante and wife Kelly, nieces and nephews Marco, Kate, Caroline, Emma and Vincent; in-laws from Macon, GA: mother and father-in-law Ray and Bonnie Davis, brothers-in-law Scott W. Davis and wife Angie, Roger Davis, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Sherwood and husband Bill, nieces and nephews Dallas Ray, Mary Cason, Joseph Roger, Emma Katherine, John Walden and Bonnie Carolyn and many other loving family members and extended family members.
