Dortha E. Topp, 84, of Effingham died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Lynncrest Manor in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Topp was born December 30, 1913 in Dexter, Effingham County, the daughter of John and Lula (Goen) Myers. She married Walter Topp in 1934. He died in 1989.
She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church, Effingham.
Survivors include her foster daughters, Joyce Richardson of Decatur, Katheryn Wilde of Rolling Meadows; brothers, John R. Myers of Joliet, Robert L. Myers of Rockport, Texas, Max D. Myers of Borger, Texas; sisters, Babe Mastin of Pampa, Texas, Fern Askew and Marcella Aldridge, both of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.
