Ursula E. 'Babe' Corson was born to Earl and Venus (Heald) Lent on Oct. 7, 1935, in Wessington Springs, S.D. She lived on farms and in various towns until her parents settled in Hardin, where she graduated school. Babe passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on April 19, 2014.

Babe married Robert "Bob" Corson on June 30, 1954, and together they had three children, Vickie, Vern and Valerie. Later, Babe and Bob divorced but remained friends.

Babe worked for Charles Tolliver, Lowe & Associates and Jesme Lowe as an office manager/secretary for numerous years. Not one to take retirement lying down, she worked part time for the MAP Program until health issues forced her to take things easy.

Babe was truly an amazing woman; she lived a full life and enjoyed many different things. Bowling was her passion; she loved the competition and camaraderie of the game. During the 1977-78 season Babe became the first woman bowler in Billings to bowl a 700 or higher series. Her 713 was considered the state record at that time. She was inducted into the Billings Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1986 for Meritorious Service and in 2001 as a Star of Yesteryear. Over the years she met and made friends, had many fond memories and tales to tell. She loved jokes and always had a new one to share.

Babe is survived by her three children, Vickie Ahrberg of Ontario, Calif., Vern (Patty) Corson of Las Vegas and Val (Tom) Miller of Billings; and her brother, Dennis Lent, also of Billings. She also leaves behind seven grandkids, six great-grandkids with one to arrive in May, several nieces and nephews and special family member Shannon McGuire of Helena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Bob and Lou Corson, Vera Urban, ex-husband, stepdad Leon Bettey, sister Mary Jo and brother-in-law Joe Zimmerman, sister-in-law Judy Lent, aunt and uncle Norma and Joe Hanks, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Chris Corson.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Youth Bowling Association, c/o Teresa Lang, 420 Judith Lane, Billings, MT or B.A.R.K. (Billings Animal Rescue Kare), 4017 First Ave. So., Billings, MT.

Mom — always remembered, always loved, thank you for everything.
