William Edwin Clark, 70, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997 at Hospice Care Center.

Born Feb. 22, 1927 in Pittsburgh. Bill lived most of his life in Akron. A graduate of Ellet High School, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired in 1990 after 36 years with Goodyear Aerospace Corp./Aircraft Braking Systems, and after retiring enjoyed seven great years playing golf. He was a 48 year member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, which he served as trustee and usher.

He leaves his wife, Barbara (nee Balo); sons, Robin (Linda), and Lindsey, both of Akron, Dane (Cathleen) of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Adam, of Akron; grandchildren Jennifer, Jason, Jared, Jeffrey, Evan and Emma; brothers, Charles of Caseyville, Ill., and Louis of Arnold, Mo.; sisters, Patricia Carder of Chesapeake, Va., Lois Trachsel of Mogadore, and Sandra Keylor of Cambridge; also nephews and nieces.
