Floyd Eugene McDaniel Jr., 67, of Hammon, Oklahoma was born on May 3, 1946 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He was the son of Floyd Eugene "Gene" and Margie Jewell Jackson McDaniel. Floyd passed away on March 9, 2014 in Hammon, Oklahoma.

He served his country in the United States Army stationed in Korea. Floyd married his best friend and sweetheart, Linda Faye Drinnon on June 29, 1968 in Hammon, Oklahoma.

He drove a truck for Roger Mills County for twenty-three years and was also a dairy farmer for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Oklahoma.

Winston Curtis will officiate. Services are under the direction of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Family requests that memorials be made to the Baptist Children Home in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma 73648. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, Elk City, Oklahoma.

Floyd is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; three sons, Brady McDaniel and his wife, Jennifer of Mustang, Oklahoma, Cody McDaniel and Dusty McDaniel both of Hammon, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Nick, Miranda, Ally, Weston, Austin and Bailey; one brother, Danny McDaniel of Elk City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Charlotte Creswell and her husband, Rick of Lubbock, Texas, Jacquelyn Padgett and her husband, Mark of Perryton, Texas; step-mother, Katherine Bacon of Elk City, Oklahoma; three aunts, Shirley Thomas and her husband, Tony, Louise McDaniel, Vera Hall of Honolulu, Hawaii; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Margie McDaniel; two brothers, Lloyd McDaniel and Bill McDaniel.
