Daughter of James John and Florence Clare Gray. Sister of James John Gray, and Sarah Jane Gray who died at birth. Aunt of James J. Jr., Gail Gray MacIntosh, Joan Gray Polak, Timothy Dascher Gray and Rev. Jonathan Edmund Gray (whom she called 'Skeezix'). Worked for NYS. Was briefly married to a man by whom she had a daughter but who, unbeknownst to her, was already married, and who abused and beat her. The marriage was annulled, (unheard of at that time in strict Roman Catholic families) and Florence was forced by circumstances to put her infant daughter up for adoption. She spent the rest of her life haunted by that decision. Cause of death: Kidney and liver failure.
