Funeral services took place at his home, Sunday [19 Mar 1916] and burial was in the Kirkville [Wapello Co., IA] cemetery
m. Jane Reed 22 Sep 1861 at bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Benj. Reed, near New Philadelphia, OH
In the spring of 1863 Jane and Linford came to Iowa and located first on a farm south of Kirkville [would be in Wapello Co., IA] and after a year moved south of
Fremont [Mahaska Co., IA] and has resided there since
Linford grew to manhood on a farm in his native state
Children:
Loretta - wife of J.C. Albertson, this township [Cedar}
C.B. Van Buskirk - Selma, Iowa
W.A. Van Buskirk - Snowbelt, MT
Linford was a member of the United Brethen Church [I believe there was a church of that denomination in Fremont, there is not one there now]
