L. L. Armstrong Of Doyle Dies

Levi Leonard Armstrong passed away Dec. 31 at 8:15 p.m. in the Portola hospital after an illness of only three days.

Mr. Armstrong was born April 18, 1883, in Atkinson, Illinois and came to California with his parents when he was six years old. The family settled near San Jose, in Santa Clara valley.

As a young man, he came to Doyle, where he met Miss Jessie Robinson whom he married in 1911.

To this union were born one son, who preceded him in death a few years ago, and two daughters who survive.

He worked for the Western Pacific Railroad company several years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Jessie Armstrong, and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Boyett, of Summit City, Calif. and Mrs. June Wood, of Doyle; one brother William Armstrong, of San Jose and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Mears, of San Rafael and seven grandchildrren and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was a devoted husband and father, a kind thoughtful neighbor and a good citizen which endeared him to all who knew him.

Funeral Services were held in the Doyle Community Church las Sunday at 2 p.m. Burial was the Doyle cemetery.
