Mrs. Brown passed away at the age of 69, and resided in Traverse City, and previously lived in Bloomfield Hills. Her parents were George Smid and Wanda Scott. She and her husband Carson met at an A & P grocery store during their high school years. They married in 1966. She graduated from MSU with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She taught in Detroit, grades 4 - 6, and eventually in Royal Oak. She was the devoted mother of a daughter, and loving grandmother of two granddaughters. She was predeceased by husband Carson, her son Eric, her mother and father. Her memorial service was held at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills. .fxs6.
