She was the great-granddaughter of Frederick Clark/Laura Shoales Wales, and the granddaughter of John Walker/Adaresta Wales Farrar. Her parents were Frederick John Henry/Hilah Mae Farrar Madouse, and she had a twin sister named Doris, and a brother named Arthur. She was married to Arthur Martin Andresen, and had three children. Hilah Mae Andresen, their first-born, died when she was one day old, but they had two children who lived to adulthood and gave them four grandchildren.
She and her husband are buried next to her twin sister and her husband in Oak Hill Cemetery.
