She was born Dec. 30, 1920, in Decatur, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Boyer Fundy.
Her husband, Kenneth W. Stewart, whom she married Feb. 16, 1941, in Decatur, is deceased.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Dick Deany of Royal, Ark.; stepmother, Dorothy Fundy of Iron River, Wis.; sister-in- law, Pauline Nailer of Decatur; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one son, Carey Stewart; one brother, one sister, and one great-grandchild.
She graduated in 1938 from Bloomington High School as valedictorian.
Mrs. Stewart retired in 1982 after 23 years as a bookkeeper with Serafini Real Estate.
She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Kankakee.
She bowled on several leagues at Marycrest.
She was an avid gardener and loved to travel.
